Anfang 1995 hatten wir die Idee, ethnische
Musik mit modernen Pop-Rhythmen zu
verbinden. Wir fuhren in den südindischen Dschungel und fanden eine Eingeborene, die
uns das Manciu-Lied vorsang. In Manciu treffen sich die High-Tech-Welt unserer Kultur
mit der ungebildeten naiven Mentalität der Analphabeten aus dem Dschungel. Die
Verschmelzung der unverdorbenen Singweise eines reinen Naturtalentes mit einer
kirstallklaren Stimme und der kalten Neonwelt der Studiomusik ist für uns so einzigartig,
daß wir meinen, die Faszination des Stückes Manciu wird auch andere Zuhörer ergreifen.

Early 1995 we had the idea, to link ethno
music with modern pop rhythms. We travelled
to the South Indian jungle and met a native who sang for us the chant of Manciu. In
Manciu the high tech world of our civilization meets with the uncultivated native
mentality
of the illiterates from the bush. The blend of the unspoilt singings of a pure natural
talent
with a cristal clear voice and the cold neon world of studio music is so unique that we
think also other listenors will be seized by the fascination of this song.
